protaral® – Special formulations for cosmetics

Various formulations are available to meet the requirements of a wide range of products: from creams to hair dyes and toothpaste.

Aluminium packaging is widely used in the cosmetics industry for hair lacquer (monobloc aerosol cans) as well as hair dyes and toothpaste (collapsible aluminium tubes). For such applications formulations are prepared ad hoc to be resistant to ammonia, mono- and tri-ethanolamine, or to strongly alkaline contents.

protaral® BPA NI AMMONIA RESISTANT 910.433 Gold Polyester Formulated BPA not intentionally added. High solid content. Suitable for filling with alkaline products (hair dyes). Meets the L’Oréal ammonia test.
protaral® 905.288 Pigmented Epoxy phenolic Good flexibility. Suitable for all standard spray cans. Excellent protection when filling with cosmetic products.

The 4 protaral® lines

Lacquers for the internal protection of aluminium tubes based on epoxy, phenol and amine resins. protaral® Classic interior coatings, available in different versions, either clear or pigmented, with medium to high solids content, are ideal for use with a wide variety of products, such as: foodstuffs, glues, hair dyes, depilatories, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, toothpaste.

Epoxy-phenol lacquers for the internal protection of aluminium monobloc aerosol cans. Great flexibility and very good adhesion make these products suitable for mechanical forming (necking) of aerosol cans with a diameter of up to 74 mm. protaral® MONOBLOC interior coatings, available in different versions, either clear or pigmented, are suitable for a wide range of applications: cosmetics; food; technical.

Polyester internal lining.
Available in two versions, for contact with food or cosmetic products (resistant to ammonia).
The most innovative coating produced by Weilburger research laboratories. protaral® BPA NI is the first item in a new line of specific polyester interior linings for aluminium packaging.

Epoxy lacquers and BPA NI polyester for high internal protection according to the regulations in force. Available in various colours.
